Civic Education and Drug Awareness Projects

Drug control is an integral part of WADAN’s civic education curriculum. An ongoing project entitled Peace Building through Training Maliks includes drug awareness programs at the grassroots level. WADAN has worked to empower local leaders and community resource persons regarding the most outstanding social issues in Afghanistan.

WADAN has already implemented this project for local leaders in 348 out of 364 districts of Afghanistan and has educated over 25,000 community leaders about the harmful consequences of drugs, extremism and other social evils.

This project is funded by the National Endowment for Democracy.
