Drug Demand Reduction Action Team (DRAT - Kabul)

This project was funded by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in April 2005 with the objectives to create awareness against the harmful effects of drug cultivation, processing, consumption and trafficking in Kabul and adjacent districts. Around 15,089 social multipliers (students, teachers, local leaders, mullahs, local government officials, law enforcement agencies) attended the awareness events and training workshops.

Around 20 addicts received community-based treatment and more than 120 addicts were referred to treatment centers. This project was completed at the end of December 2005.
